The June long weekend is Tanglin Lodge Alpacas Open Day when entry fee is free and visitors are able to closely observe the behaviour of the large number of alpacas on display, including most of the crias (baby alpacas).
The staff and many assistants are available for answering questions on the lifestyle, generics and idiosyncrasies of these placid animals. Many of the animals are for sale including pregnant mothers, mothers and crias, single girls, wethers and young males.
Our Alpaca Shop is open to all to see and purchase if you so desire. There are many fleeces of varying colours on display to demonstrate the quality of fleeces that alpacas produce.
Refreshments of devonshire teas and barbecue lunch are available.
Demonstrations such as toenail clipping, halter training, how to give injections and ear tagging will be performed during the day.
Tanglin Lodge is open between the hours of 10am and 4pm on this special day.
If you have a group of 15 or more people, why not enjoy time at Tanglin Lodge with the Alpacas and have your own Open Day such has been done by car clubs on several occasions.
If you are contemplating purchasing an Alpaca, we will gladly show you around to demonstrate how we raise our family of four legged animals.
